About Data Entry/Book-keeper

The Data Entry/Bookkeeper will manage high-volume data entry tasks to support the accounting department. This role is responsible for assisting in maintaining the company’s financial records, ensuring all documentation is accurate, consistent, and up-to-date. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative team player with a strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Enter and update accounting data into the company’s computer system.

  • Transfer information from paper documents to electronic files and database systems.

  • Accurately input data from direct sources as required.

  • Create and maintain spreadsheets to track and balance financial figures.

  • Compile, verify, and organize information for review.

  • Identify and correct data discrepancies or errors.

  • Assist in maintaining organized records of income and expenses.

  • Input journal entries for receipts, payments, and other financial transactions.

  • File and organize source documents for all recorded journal entries.

  • Perform additional bookkeeping and data entry tasks as needed.

Skills/Qualifications

  • Proficiency in PCS software is required.

  • Self-motivated with a strong attention to detail.

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines within tight timeframes.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication

  • skills.Strong organizational abilities.

  • Minimum typing speed of 40 WPM and experience with 10-key data entry.

  • A collaborative team player with critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Experience and/or Education Requirement

  • 2-4 years of experience in bookkeeping and administrative roles.

  • Proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel is highly preferred.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
