About Data Entry/Book-keeper
The Data Entry/Bookkeeper will manage high-volume data entry tasks to support the accounting department. This role is responsible for assisting in maintaining the company’s financial records, ensuring all documentation is accurate, consistent, and up-to-date. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative team player with a strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Enter and update accounting data into the company’s computer system.
Transfer information from paper documents to electronic files and database systems.
Accurately input data from direct sources as required.
Create and maintain spreadsheets to track and balance financial figures.
Compile, verify, and organize information for review.
Identify and correct data discrepancies or errors.
Assist in maintaining organized records of income and expenses.
Input journal entries for receipts, payments, and other financial transactions.
File and organize source documents for all recorded journal entries.
Perform additional bookkeeping and data entry tasks as needed.
Skills/Qualifications
Proficiency in PCS software is required.
Self-motivated with a strong attention to detail.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines within tight timeframes.
Excellent verbal and written communication
skills.Strong organizational abilities.
Minimum typing speed of 40 WPM and experience with 10-key data entry.
A collaborative team player with critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Experience and/or Education Requirement
2-4 years of experience in bookkeeping and administrative roles.
Proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel is highly preferred.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
