About Safety and Compliance Coordinator
Interlogistics, one of the most respected privately-owned trucking companies in the U.S., is seeking a dedicated Safety and Compliance Coordinator to join our team. This position is based at our corporate office in Troy, MO. The Safety Coordinator will oversee safety compliance, loss prevention, and safety training while fostering a culture of safety and ensuring a positive safety environment across the company.
Duties and Responsibilities
Ensure safety compliance by monitoring and reporting HOS (Hours of Service), PeopleNet, and driver camera violations.
Familiarity with Samsara Systems is preferred.
Conduct employee safety-related training programs.
Coordinate and prepare data for DOT audits and investigations.
Resolve issues involving drivers and customers effectively.
Perform filing and general administrative tasks as needed.
Support incident reporting and investigations, including accidents, near misses, property damage, and DOT-reportable events.
Assist in managing the company’s drug and alcohol program.
Ensure compliance with driver hours of service regulations, including log reviews, log corrections, and communicating disciplinary actions for violations to drivers.
Requirements
Ability to effectively train and present to both small and large groups of employees.
Exceptional interpersonal, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
Capability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Strong oral and written communication skills for interacting with employees and the general public.
Must maintain strict confidentiality in daily operations.
Work Experience & Education Requirements
Knowledge of FMCSA, DOT, and other regulatory compliance agencies is a plus.
Proven experience presenting to diverse audiences.
Familiarity with business office operations, filing, and administrative tasks.
DOT compliance training will be provided; however, prior DOT safety experience is preferred.
Candidates must demonstrate a positive “CAN DO” attitude, the ability to multitask, and above-average computer skills.
